Surround sound interference

Thought that I would provide an update for a problem I and others have had with the Surround Sound.
During the past couple of years I have read several posts about a background noise coming through the surround sound system. I also had that problem and it was eliminated today. My floor plan was built while Winnebago was in the process of changing many of the electronic systems. I have a front kitchen and the main TV is at mid coach. However, all of the electronic are still in the front cabinets. In the 07s the TVs were still in the front and in the 09s the electronics were mid coach with the TV. In both cases the wire runs were not long. My system required coax running from the switch box to the TV (30+ ft) and audio cable running from the TV audio output to the DVD (another 30+ ft). I now have audio cable running directly from the sat receiver to the DVD (2 ft) and the background sound has stopped. With all of that wiring running to and from the TV and the TV output signal in the system there was ample opportunity for interference to get into the line. An electronics tech familiar with RVs said a system like mine was highly prone to interference.

Ok, How was it eliminated? I know of several ways of improving that kind of system but just wondering what they did.

The interference was caused by the TV. If your sound system gets its signal from the TV rather than a separate amplifier you can get interference from the TV. My system was set up with an audio line running from the sat receiver to the TV then from the TV audio out to the DVD which controls the surround sound. By having the sound signal going directly from the sat receiver to the DVD I eliminated the TV interference.
The best way to set up a sound system is to have all of your devices; sat, DVD, etc., going directly to the sound system amplifier. Unfortunately, some sound systems do not give you that option.
