I would like to switch the small solar panel from the house batteries to the chassis battery. We are parked with AC power 98% of the time and the small solar panel does nothing for our house batteries. I hope that it would keep my chassis battery charged. Does anyone know where to find the wiring diagram in the wiring book or better still what wire must be switched?

You might look at installing a Trik-L charger. It is simple to install.

Your plan makes perfectly good sense to me, but I agree w/ ottawa, that a Trik-L-Start is an excellent solution. Then you would have the solar panel charging the aux batts which in turn continuously trickle charge your engine batt, so that on those rare occasions when you are not plugged-in, you're not giving up the safety feature of maintaining the aux batts at full charge. As you are probably aware, keeping the aux batts fully charged lets you use the MOM switch to start your rig from the aux batts, should the engine batt go dead out in the boonies. Seems to me that having both would be the ultimate deal. I just installed one on my rig and it works great (but I don't have a solar charger on my aux batts and wish I did.) It's a $50 item at Tweetys.com, and super easy to install. (I know we're not directly addressing your question, but just trying to help.... Best of luck.)
