My motorhome has the table with 2 chairs that with the built in leaf, will expand to seat 4 people. There are two folding chairs that are stored under the bed to be used when needed. My problem is that of space. I have two kids and one sleeps on the J-lounge/sofa and the other sleeps on an inflatable mattress on the floor. The only way to make this work comfortably is to lift the leading edge of the table up (it is hinged against the wall) and use a bungie cord to hold it elevated and he has his mattress under the table area. This has worked okay, but with the table elevated it forces the leg of the table to stick out in the path of where we walk and it is just a matter of time before we either break it or my 7 year old knocks himself out. Is there anyone else that has figured out a way to reconfigure the table area to allow for sleeping space at night. I don't want to permanently remove it, just have a way to open up the area at night. Sorry for the lengthy post

Do you have a slide in living area?
IF not what if you turn the table length wise along the wall may give more space and you won't have to tie it up. Maybe able to place mattress in between legs of table and have him sleep with his legs between table legs.

I wonder if you could fabricate a metal bracket to screw to the bottom of the table with a pin through the leg to let it swing down when the table is lifted up.??

I too have an Itasca Suncruiser with the table and chairs. We really like the table compared to the traditional booth, but we have had the same space problem. Normally there are only the two of us, but when we went to visit our grandson in the Army, we ran into the same problem. He had to sleep in a sleeping bag more or less under the table. I would like to know of a solution myself...sorry I can't offer one to you but at least you're not alone!
