Tankless Water Heater

Has anyone ever considered installing a Tankless Water Heater in their motorhome?

My sister just got one installed in her home, and she can't stop from going on and on about it. She says that this thing only heats up water when you need it, and that it heats it up immediately. The footprint of this thing is pretty small. I don't know anything about these heaters. I do know that they run on 110.
Opinions? Good or bad.

They are standard equipment in some RVs.

We have one, and its fine, once you get over the learning curve.

Its gas only, electric ones draw 60 to 90 amps, and only fires up when water is flowing.

We have found that if we the digital control to shower temps and only use the hot faucet, it works good. Trying to mix hot and cold can upset the water flow thru the heater and shut down the burner, blasting you with cold water. Of course that depends on your pump pressure or the CGs pressure when hooked to city water.

If I had a choice, a tank type would be what I'd pick. In my case, it may not fit.

What might not fit? A tankless or a tank?

The tank type is deeper then the tankless.

There doesn't seem to be enough depth behind my tankless heater for a tank type.
