The search is over...

Our story in a nutshell; Like many of you here my wife and I started out camping in a tent. After enjoying that for a few years it was time for an upgrade to a pop-up. For the next seven years it was heaven to have a little more space and to be up off the ground. During that time frame our two very energetic kids arrived and it was time for another upgrade. For the next four years we moved into a 32' travel trailer with a single slide and quad bunks that the kids named Rockywood... can it get any better? Then we were bit by the road trip bug and decided to upgrade again because the kids didn't think that the back seat of the truck was alot of fun for our multi-state adventures. Not to mention it didn't leave alot of room for the kids friends to tag along. For the last three years we have found ourselves in a 37' triple slide class A motorhome that the kids named Wendy. It has brought us all over the midwest and made many great memories. What we then discovered is that we all missed the bunks badly. Setting up beds every night and breaking down beds every morning got old real quick. Now that we have been doing this a while and are a little wiser the search was on for the right bunk model motorhome. Low and behold we recently found and purchased the perfect Sightseer 35J happily named Bunko. The greatest thing about this motorhome is that when the kids are gone in the next six to seven years the bunks will provide ample storage for my wife and I to continue our cross country travels together... and maybe even host grandkids one day! For now our next road trip to the Grand Canyon has been booked and we are all chomping at the bit for summer to come. Cheers to Bunko!!!

Wishing everyone fun and safe travels in 2013.

With 4 children -- none of which can share a bed with each other -- we have been very happy with the 35J floorplan. We took a 3-week trip and took a set of grandparents along and it was a full house, but we got along fine.

Bunks in a class A aren't very common. I think Winnie dropped the 35J for 2013 too. I can't see trading it for anything else because you're right about the bunks being good for inside storage.

Safe travels.

We love our 35J. Just got back from a trip to FL for spring break. Currently planning our trip to Grand Canyon and Pike's Peak this summer. We will have 4 kids and a god with us this summer just like last summer's trip to the Smokey Mountains. The bunks are great and you are correct that bunks are only available in the 2013 Vista line from Winnebago.

We loaded the plastic chests of drawers from Walmart in our bunk area when we had a Discovery 40G. Great extra storage! Oh, yeah, you can use it for kids too, when they are along.
