I am having trouble pumping air thru these extentions. It seems that the valve is jamming or just sticking on almost all of them. Is this common?
Thanks

I have extensions on the rear duals and they have been a godsend for ease of use. Fortunately I have had no problems using them, and have experienced no leaks so far.

I just did tire pressure checks yesterday and the extention on one of my rear duals is not working. No air in or out. Another little thing for the dealer to check....

Did they (or you) perhaps use "Equal" or some other type of "powder" to balance the tires??? I understand some types of that stuff can turn solid if it gets damp, and could plug a valve stem...

I've had valve extenders on every RV we've owned with (knock on wood) no problems with them. However, I did discover that when I thought I was having problems with the extenders it turned out to be the air chuck.

Sometimes the metal piece in the center of the chuck (which floats inside the chuck) will end up off center and won't allow me to fill the tire with air. The chuck goes over the valve correctly and doesn't let air escape, but it won't let air in either.

It seems unlikely, but I've had the issue with both chucks (truck style heavy duty dual fill type) that I have used past and present.

I've also seen bent valve stems, but those were more obvious. I don't know what caused me to ever look inside the chuck. But glad I did.
