1. I went out to empty my hot water tank for the winter and could not locate the plug or valve. There is a 'safety pressure' release on the front but nothing else visable. The bottom of the compartment is sealed. Do I have to remove some cover or is the "valve/plug" in another easy to reach location.
2. I've noticed the bottom of the bed room slide weeping out on it's own for the last month or two. I read the tread on holding the switch for 5 seconds to bleed air but for some reason this has not helped. Any ideas as to why this is happening and has any one had an easy fix. (I'm not too mechanicaly inclined)

The unit is an 07 Journey 36G.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

There is a 1/2" threaded nylon/plastic plug near the bottom of your water heater. You can remove it easily with a 3/4" deep socket. Open the pressure valve and the tank will drain quickly after removal of the plug.

Based on my similar experience with bedroom slide creep (and multiple discussions with HWH) the most frequent cause is a leaking extend solenoid for that slide. You could also have a leaking hose or slide ram but the extend solenoid is the more likely culprit, especially if it creeps out fairly quickly after you retract it.

Make sure the water in the heater is cold. Release pressure by opening the spring loaded pressure relief valve near the top and then leave it open as you pull the nylon/plastic plug.

Reference water heater:

There's a number 27 written on the drain plug in picture # 3 on this web page. Picture

Your's will look similar to this but maybe an off white in color.

Yep, if holding the switch down doesn't cure the problem it is most likely a leaky solenoid. I understand they are easy to change, but I had Winnebago replace mine while doing some other items at GNR.
