VECTRA 40AD Right Slide Scraping

Has anyone had experience with the right livingroom slide on a 40AD scraping in the aluminum channel - center floor area? Mine scrapes and drops metal shavings into the under compartment. I'm going to Forest City to have it repaired but do not know what to expect $$$$$. Thanks.

Could be just an adjustment ... could be a missing "skid" pad ... hard to say ... let us know what you find out...

Slide Issue

I had a similar problem with the right slide scraping and binding on my 05 Vectra AD. My dealer found that the rear X Bar bracket pulled loose. The crush nuts pulled out of the mounting holes. His solution was to install reinforcement plates and stainless steel bolts for attachiment to the X bar. They had to remove the panel behind the head and the pantry for access.
This happened under warranty. It was four years ago and I haven"t had a problem again.

Slide Problem Resolved

Well it turned out to be a small metal bracket rubbing against the aluminum guide. The bracket holds the nylon pads in place. It had to be ground down a little to be flush with the pads. Two and 1/2 hours labor. Tech was very good. Slide works fine now. Motoring south at last.
