W22 front inner wheel seal leaks

Anybody have issues replacing seals on front wheels. Had a shop replace brake pads and rotors. The factory seals never leaked but they replaced the seals with the brake job and I didn't go 10 miles and all gear oil dumped out. They replaced them again and had a leak on passenger side after 250 miles.. They must be doing something wrong.. They replaced for free but afraid of problems while on a trip. I don't feel I can trust them..

I agree, something wrong with the installation/ installer. At this point about the only thing to do is get in writing that is if an oil seal begins leaking on the road they will pay the repair bill and wrecker bill; OR, they pay the bill at a different shop to redo the axle seals.

If they refuse that, your only recourse is small claims court.

Sounds like wrong seals, improper installation or maybe a plugged vent.

Those GM style axles sometimes use wear rings on the hub. They are fine but you need the proper seal for them or remove the wear rings for some seals.

There is a supplier named Brazels or something like that who can get you the correct stuff.
