I just did mine a couple weeks ago. Look back a few pages and I placed photos of them. They are also in the Photo section.

The check valve outer body is made of brass. What you want to remove is the plastic inner parts of the valve. After removal of all the plastic you should be able to look through the brass body. Then just replace the valve. You are set to go, no more flow problems.

I also had to remove my tank from the outside as there was not enough room to get to the back of the Hot Water Tank from inside.

Good Luck.

I removed the check valve on my old Vectra, took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together and was good to go.

Rich,

Not sure if your check valve will be of the same flavor as mine was on my 03 39QD Horizon but if it is brass then what I did was remove it, gut it of it's internals, and then replaced it back in the coach. That way you don't have to cut and couple PEX tubing etc. Mine was on the input side of the WH but some have reported them being on the output side as well. I also have a second one located behind my water service panel. Good luck.
