Water heater problems

I just recently went on trip and everything worked well. Went to race at talladaga and needed to fill tank. When I tried to get hot water had none. Found no water going to heater valves were all in right position. Never could get hot water all weekend. Got home and tried it on water supply still no water to heater any one have suggestions. 2001 Winnebago journey

Is it located in tank or line to tank. I did find one on hot line leaving by valves and pulled it. It's good

I think there's a check valve on the cold side of the HWT as well. It'll be inline with the supply right close to the tank

My Horizon is basically the same set up as your Journey and has two service access panels for the water heater. The main one is located on the bottom of the compartment, remove it and you can see behind the water heater. It's close quarters back there but you should have enough room to get at the check valves and electric heating element. The other smaller access panel is in the rear, it's round and spins off. Between the two you should be able to do your repairs without pulling the unit.

I took a picture of the main access panel, its upper left just in front of the jack. I hope this helps.
