This may not be the time or place but our 2014 42QD is for sale. We are on our way home from Florida to Indiana with a stopover at Gaffney SC for service. We did have a small leak in the roof but had the entire roof resealed last year. We like to keep ahead of all the problems. We have loved our coach but it is time in our life for a change.

Got our 2011 Meridian 40U about 8 years ago. Though it is 41' long it still fits into some of the smaller parks the QD may not have access to. The usable basement area is larger than the QD.
A few of us have had a couple of ripples develop on the roof. No leaks. Been there since we bought the coach.
Did a few suspension mods like Bilstein shocks, new front sway bar bushings and a Blue Ox TruCenter steering stabilizer. Also, I put AirTabs ( https://www.airtab.com/test-results.htm) on the rig for wind stability.
We simply love the coach! Beautiful full-timers home.
Happy hunting.

Just replaced bathroom window crank on our 2011 42QD (95k miles). Bought part at La Mesa RV in Tucson.
We love the floorplan.
Were recently at FMCA national rally here in Tucson. Walked through dozens of coaches various dealers had at the rally. Didn't see a single one, new or used, including newer 42QDs we liked better than ours.
No motorhome is trouble free. Ours certainly isn't. But we are not looking to change.

The Winnebago Tour is practically identical to the Ellipse. I would include it in your search.

If you don't mind a bit smaller and without some of the upscale features, have your looked at the '11 40U?: Itasca Meridian 40U or Winnebago Journey 40U. The Meridian has a few more features than the Journey. Nether have the bath & a half. Heating is different also I believe.
We simply love our coach and have since 2014. Only 61K at this time. Have not done much traveling for the past 2 years because of many factors; covid restrictions and family emergencies among them. Now the stupid fuel prices are adding to our restrictions.

We have a 2011 40u, and really love it. Been looking for a newer replacement that fit our needs, but no luck yet.

I hate to bother you, but how did you replace the bedroom window crank. I purchased the replacement gear from mobility, have remote the 4 screws, but cannot figure how to remove the bar that goes through the gear. Thanks.

I had two failed cranks. Had them repaired at Lichtenstein in Forest City. They had to pull the entire window.

Thanks for the information. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to pull the window.
