You need a new radiator. They aren't that expensive these days. And I'm sure you can do it.

Another thing I do with older machines is get a lower pressure radiator cap. They are usually 16psi, but you can find them at 13 psi. They still cool as well but are less likely to blow a gasket or water pump seal.
