Is it a gas rv. If so, it could be the key for removing the doghouse over the motor. It has an allen key type swivel that releases the doghouse. At least that what my 2000 winnebago 37 g had. It was in the center of the doghouse, buried in the carpet.

I believe it is to remove the doghouse (engine cover) inside, should be a hole in the front middle of the cover. Only reason I know is the smog people couldn't get ours off and I remembered see that kind of tool in the box on top of the doghouse. Hope this helps.

You won't need it unless you're replacing the seat on a leaky faucet valve. These seats sometimes go bad but not very often. Just keep it with your other tools for "just in case".

Ok...thanks, I had no idea what it was for, it was in my drivers side pouch. ..they very well could have used this tool for the doghouse also. ..I'm gonna check into that

I have a feeling that you're right, that it can be used on the doghouse latch as well. I bet the original tool was lost.

And now that i think about it, i'm not even sure faucet valves used in RVs have replaceable seats.
