Winnebago Destination/Adventurer ltd Itasaca Latitude bedroom TV
Hi,
I would like to replace the old style flat screen TV on my bedroom.
Has anyone done this? Can the mount be reused? Not sure what size I will replace it with but as big as I can mount.
Thanks,

Remove the old TV and see what you have to work with. You might need to cut a plywood panel to fill the hole if the old TV is inset in that panel behind it. A suitable TV mount for a flat screen TV is not compatible with however the CRT TV was mounted.

Hi Bob,
The existing one is a flat screen.
I tried to pull it out but did not try too hard. I will have another look tomorrow.

I've mounted a few flat screen TVs, in my RV and at home. Most brackets are two-part, one screws on the back of the TV in a 75mm square or 100mm square with 4 screws, according to the TV size. The other half of the bracket mounts to the wall. The TV bracket slides down in grooves and gets captured by the wall bracket. A lever or screw hold the two together once mounted. I'd look underneath or on top for a screw or locking lever.
I'd take down the present TV and see what kind of mount it has. It may be suitable for a bigger TV, maybe not, you won't know until you get it down and have the new TV to see if it will work.

If you look up from the bottom you should see 2 set screws. Loosen them and then lift the TV off the top of the bracket. I used the same mount when I upgraded from the original 20" Sharp to a 24" Vizio. I wish I had gone to a 28".
If the existing mount doesn't line up you can purchase a flat plate that fits the new TV and can be bolted to the existing bracket. You can't disconnect the cords until the TV is off the mount so a second set of hands is helpful.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for posting that info. Thats exactly what I needed to know.
So you think a 28inch would fit?

Walmart have a 32inch TCL Roku Smart Tv for 138$, it would be nice if it could fit. Its the same model as the 40inch I have at home I am going to put in the rv living area.

You may have a different mount than the one they used on mine. On mine the 2 screws are up behind the TV on the bottom of the bracket.

Thanks UFO,
The tv does not move at all. I dont want to remove it until I get another tv. My wife reckons not to bother changing it.

My original TV had sound problems so I had no choice but to replace it.
