I along with 6 others did the demo and not one of us liked the ride. I will mention that 3 of us have workhorse now. The brakes we all found to be very spongy and slow to react. I commented that my present 04 adventurer would leave the lapalma in the dust in a race. We also together felt if they are giving demo rides least they could do is balance the tires. The slide and the micro wave were shaking noticably. The rear had a loud whine. As you can tell my review drastically differs from the hype of their ad; borders on fraud!

The brakes take a little bit to get used to but they are in fact much better than anything that has come down the pike on any gas chassis. I have driven 3 different UFOs a number of times. Stopping 49 feet quicker is not hype, it's fact and it was accomplished by a 3rd party testing organization after 6 runs.
Tire balance wasn't so much an issue for me because I got the LaPalma up to 70 mph southbound on the I75 and it didn't feel like it had a balance problem.
The loud whine you heard in the LaPalma was uncharacteristic to the Latitude I later drove. Tom Lincoln of Workhorse said that the Dana rear that were going into the retail units are going to be consistent with the sound level I experienced in the Latitude which was to me acceptable but not whisper quiet. I couldn't hear the differential from the driver's seat on the Latitude.
The slide and microwave have nothing in common with Winnebago Industries however I did observe that the microwave was shaking as you did.
About your front gas Workhorse leaving the LaPalma in the dust, I would take that that bet because my Workhorse is pretty darned fast as well.

I had the privilege of driving the UFO at Hemet. There were 3 of us as well. I was very impressed. I found the brakes to be very responsive so much so that I had to quickly learn not to apply as much foot pressure. I can't say it had any better acceleration than mine but I also have the Ultra Power Upgrade. I loved the 55 degree wheel cut as well as many of the new features. I sure would buy one. The only concern I have is the low hanging exhaust pipes.

I am told that RDPs typically have a 7.3? departure angle as opposed to the 8? that the UFO was designed with. The departure angle is a line from the ground centering on the rear tires to a point on the low side of the radiator support.
The UFO has a greater departure angle so it is less prone to making contact with the ground than a typical RDP.
