Nice job, thanks for the info. These lights seem to be a notorious problem for our rigs. This looks to be a cure, appreciate your post.

Sorry for a few typos but i wanted to post while fresh on my mind.

Yes i think the design is the issue. I saw on another post Newmar had a similar issue and just fill with silicone. Even a worse imo on a solution.

On my 2002 these lights are surface mounted and never in 18 years did they leak. I think this solution I devised at least keeps the looks close rather than surface mount but i did consider doing that if i could not come up with something. I did not consider filling with silicone

I got the NAPA LED lights which, in theory, should never need to be replaced by me. I used clear silicone caulk underneath and around the lights while installing. Seems Ok so far.

Since we are talking about lights, has anyone made any upgrades to their headlights? I cannot for the life of me seem to get mine aimed properly. I am going to request that the guys at Gafney do it but they might not be able to do it?

I have a problem to solve.

When I got my 2016 Ellipse back from the shop the coach power switch won’t light up in the on position. Also when the generator kicks on it shuts off dc power.
Das: Neither of these occurred prior to battery evaluation where the tech replaced the chassis batteries. I did have to flip the breaker on the generator after the rig was returned

I'm not sure if I'm on track here or not. Did you check the round inverter switch to make sure it's in the "on" position. Round switch being the one in the basement bay right behind the curbside steer wheel.
That's where it is on my coach, I have a '14 Ellipse.
As far as the light in the switch, it may have simply burned out? If things function even if the switch light is out, I'd guess it's just the switch light itself.

The inverter switch that’s on the panel inside seems to work - the one that has “settings” for the inverter. Would it work if the one outside doesn’t?

I've never tried it myself. I've never turned the round switch down below off. Did you check the switch below?

I expect the tech may have turned off every switch in the coach and may not have turned them all back on after replacing the battery.

Easy to check the round switch.

The battery selector is what I’d call that round switch I think you are referring to? Yes it appears to point to “both”.

The light on the switch that I mentioned is still out. I don’t know about you guys but every time I run into battery problems it’s a complicated drawn out affair.

The Aqua Hot in my 2014 Tour works great. My DW asked if there was a return air filter to clean or replace? I did some surfing and found nothing. Does anyone know if and where it is or if one could be retrofitted?
