Did you ever get this problem resolved? I have the same or related issue. The driver's window is relatively quiet most of the time, but very loud wind buffeting when there are crosswinds L to R. (R to L crosswinds don't cause buffeting).
It gets 90% quieter when I press my hand against the glass, but that's not a long term solution; my arm gets tired after a few minutes. I examined the window from the outside, and I see a 3/4 - 1" wide gap between the window cutout in the exterior steel layer of the door and the glass and weatherstripping. I suspect we need some sort of rubber or silicone strip to fill that gap.
