Winnebago Vista 30T Rust Issue

Purchased a new 2015 Vista 30T, our first MH. After 2 months I happened to look under MH and noticed excessive rust and rot on angle irons supporting all storage bins. Bought in CT, stored in FL and never saw a winter on the road! Chassis is fine. Anyone have this issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Winnebago Vista 30T Rust Issue

Understand rust but rot is probably a bit over the top. The only person that cares or will do any thing about it is you. This is just "normal" workmanship these days. I use a spray can of chassis black type paint and once a year give all the rust colored bits a touch up.
Does this impress me on a new coach, nope but I feel better after l have done it.

By the way I absolutely love my 2014 30T and am sure you will love yours too, rusty bits included!

Pete

Ours came with rubber undercoating like you cna have cars done. I see where some has been "sand blasted" off by rocks and debris. Bought a spray can of it and need to prep and spray it on.

Rust treatment has become easier then it was years ago. There are several companies that make rust encapsulation treatment that work well.

Rust Paint - Rust Proofing Products - Rust Protection - Corrosion Control - Eastwood

Good luck!

Eastwood and Por 15 both make good products. Follow the directions and use one of their prep products before applying. Forget about contacting Winnebago for repair assistance as long as you are not the original owner they will only give you advice.
