Winnie Access - holding tank question

This is for all the Access owners. My wife and I are in the process of purchasing our first Class C and have zeroed in in the Winnie Access 31RP. Our only hesitation is the lack of enclosed tanks and dump station. Enclosed tanks is on the bottom of my "must have" list, in other words, not a top priority but certainly one of my criteria.

My questions: 1) do you Access owners see your exposed service stations as a problem for it getting dirty from road debri, and 2) is it overly troubling keeping your tanks from freezing when winter camping?

I realize that the Access has a winter package, but seems that the winter package is limited to just a heated drain.

Any input on this issue would be appreciated.

I looked on Winnebago's website. What is a enclosed holding tank?

I see you have an '04 Adventurer. I'm almost certain your coach has enclosed tanks and dump station.

Enclosed tanks means the water holding tanks are NOT exposed on the underside of the carriage. In other words, they are enclosed, covered, and insulated. If you look on the underside of your rig, you won't see your tanks. I'm pretty certain your adventurer has this feature.

Got it.. well yes then they are enclosed. I know I need to keep the furnace on or put a small heater in the basement to keep the water lines from freezing. But that is only when it dips into the low 20's.

Good luck with your future purchase.
