Wiper lube

Wiper motor quit. New one is on the way.
What should the link arms be lubricated with?

I have found that ( motorcycle ) chain lube works well on things that are metal to metal as the wiper blade links are.Also works on the retracting steps.

White lithium grease. That's what the manufacturer uses.
