I have a 2002 Ultimate Advantage with the remote door lock/unlock on the keyring. Sometimes when I try to lock the door, there is no response and I end up locking the door with the key. Other times it works fine. I have replaced the battery in the key fob control thinking that it might have be "rundown". Was wondering where the relay that receives the signal might be and if easy to get to, I would like to see if the wire antenna is extended properly. I suspect this might be part of the problem. Anyone else with this similar problem -- is this normal for the intermitten problem. Appreciate any input on this one. Also wondering what the range should be on this -- for it to work, I have to be approximately 5 - 6 feet from the front door -- otherwise no response at all.

I have a 02 UA also,,,,the receiver for the keybob is located in the front compartment on the drivers side...it is mounted on the back wall....it can be adjusted as per instructions in the owners manual....my bob sometimes does not work,,,,and I just bump it on something and it starts working again...I found it to be the way the battery is in the bob,,,but have found no satisfactory way to fix it yet...

David K - Mine is probably the same lock as yours and I can reach from my kitchen door out to where the coach is parked in back about 20-25 feet. The only time it started being a little intermintent I replace the battery and everything was fine then.

I have an 03 Advantage. I have had some problems with the key fob also. Generally seemed to be the battery contact. What I tried, and it seemed to work was to put a small piece of foam behind the battery contact - gives more pressure on the contacts that way. While this does not solve the range problem, it will improve the response to lock/unlock.
