Wiring monitors in "One Place" chase on Sunova/Sunseeker

I would like to add additional monitors ( battery charge, EMS, and potentially solar controls to the One Place panel. There is a chase behind the panels to run wires up and down. However below the chase, is the potable water tank. This appears to have a gap above it. Prints also seem to indicate that there is nothing above the chase going to the roof.

Has anyone fished wires down the chase and across the potable water tank? Has anyone brought wires from the chase to the roof? I am only worried about duct work there.
