I removed the front Sony from an '04 MA DP. It was heavy and required help. I access the TV from the back side after removing the wood air vent panels. Mine had a sheet metal frame secured to the cabinet. The frame had two bars that went top to bottom that the TV was secured to. 4 bolts held the TV to the bars. I removed the bolts and as I recall the TV slid forward.
I replaced it with a flat screen and used the original metal bracket.

Are you referring to the wood trim that’s on the windshield side of the cabinet or the wood trim that’s on the TV screen side of the cabinet ?
Do you remember how the wood trim was removed ?
Thank you !

On my CS and DS they were siliconed on, I have also heard that double sided tape is sometimes used.

On my 2002 MADP there were 2 long screws on the lower edge at each corner These screws are in the padded section on the bottom covered with buttons. Attached is an image of the trim removed and you can see the legs that extend inside the case too which the screws were attached. On top of the trip are 2 pins that extended up into the top. Once screws are removed trim pulls out at bottom then pull down.
I can not help with actually pulling the TV out as mine was already removed. But I had heard that it is pretty much a tight fit into the cabinet that holds it.

This photo shows the location of the 2 screws on the right side of the compartment that need to be removed. They are located (as mentioned) on the right hand side of the compartment -

Once the 2 screws on the left side and the 2 screws on the right side of the compartment have been removed the wood trim on the front that cover the TV can then be gingerly worked back and forth slowly until it is free of the compartment. The 4 screws are all that hold it in.

There is a metal brace along the top of the TV (that I did not take a photo of) that needs to be removed also. Very straight forward removal.
Then...enlist the help of 2 other guys to help you as the TV is ready to come out. One guy on the left side to support half the TV, One guy in the center to support the other half of the TV and One guy on the right side to disconnect all the attached wires.

FWIW, here's my mod in our 2005 Newmar Essex. Cut flush, new full width panel on bottom covered in vinyl that matches the dashboard. The little brown "L" shaped piece on the lower right of TV is a rubber corner protector (child proof stuff).
