Good concept, so so content. A bit anti-climactic. I know this is Newmar's first shot and they will do better in the future. Enunciation is incredible. Wait until you hear the voice over say "Diesel Pusher".

In my cursory review, several items don't apply to my coach. e.g. the tank monitor panel isn't the same.

I'm definitely a Newmar guy. However, over the holiday weekend I visited my father in law who has an '05 Diplomat. I went through all his documentation and helped him with some maintenance. I have to say that Monaco's documentation is superior to Newmar's in organization, completeness and specificity to coach.

While Newmar is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, non-custom manufacturer in the business, I think this is a current weakness. Many of us have found idiosyncrasies and gaps in the documentation and have problems finding the right person w/in Newmar who has the answer.

Every company struggles with knowledge management but, with these complex machines it should probably be up in priority a little higher.

I am now off of my soap box. I stepped down before I got pushed off.

......and the DVD documentation is far superior to previous scant documentation.

The DVD and a few other changes came about after Skip on Newmarowners spearheaded an owner wish list and worked with Newmar to implement some customer desired changes.

Sigh. Yes Bob I agree. I wouldn't switch coaches for better doco. Just some thoughts on how Newmar could provide an even better total product.

Just so you know sarcasm is the lowest form of humor, which is why I enjoy it so much.

Oh yeah, I really don't think you should be piping in on this discussion given that You have the ultimate documentation, Jason.

I agree and didn't mean to infer it wasn't. I will be one of those urging Newmar to improve the information and most appreciative of anything they provide.

I'm hoping that by the time Bob finally goads me into the Mountain Aire that I'll get a very complete digital manual.

You got it, Scott. When Bob needs documentation, Newmar flys a tech out just to read the owners manual to Bob!

I hope I get my DVD soon, now that you received yours.

I'd love to have a MADP or higher, but I had to sell the house just to get my DSDP. I wonder what Bob's interest rate is for a loan on a MH?

I don't know if I should be letting this out. The company line for non-high line is that the dealer will contact you when the DVDs were delivered to them.

However, while at Newmar, I asked Jeanie in parts about the DVD and she said she would mail me one. I'm not sure if she mailed it to me or Newmar changed policies.

To all, please don't get Jeanie or me in trouble if that is what happened. Try calling your dealer or Newmar customer service first and ask them. (to be clear, Bob was not with me on this occasion. So I now know that he doesn't get ALL the special treatment)

We were at the factory in November and Jeanie took our name too. We received the DVD for our 07 VTDP this week as well.

Just got it(mail's about 2 weeks later due to trying to catch up with us). Great primer for first time(RV 101) users. Now we just need RV 201, etc.

Just got my DVD, and I'm very disappointed.

Too much outdated and missing information.

I thought previous years DVDs included wiring diagrams, plumbing schematics, and lots of detailed information.

My DVD is only slightly better than the owners manual that came with the rig.
