Welcome to the forum and irv2, bevans.
Does the shade have a MFG name on it and is switch in your dash or mounted separately.

In QT's # 3 you will find a section just for shades that may help you also.

All the links below in my signature have info for your Newmar

If you need a brochure and owners guide let me know.

Here is a link for TSB's for your motor home.

Enjoy the forum and safe travels.

I talked to newmar and they send me a diagram but it was not correct for my coach it only had one ground and one hot and mine had two wires that were hot and two ground so I got to looking at that and my other switch and thought well its got to have power and ground for both up and down
so that's it
the left top spade is hot for the light inside the switch (red)
the right top spade is ground for the light inside the switch (black)
the second left spade is hot (red/white)
the second right spade is ground (white)
the third left spade is motor up (brown)
the third right spade is motor down (yellow)
the fourth left spade is ground (white)
the fourth right spade is hot (red/white)

thank you and yes I was lucky to get a one owner coach and she was very picky and kept all the books and paperwork that came with the coach plus every ticket or receipt that was done on the coach just needed some cleaning and updating like led bulbs etc
