08 KSDP MM ISL400 Cummins Questions

Have a 08 39' KSDP MM Spartan ISL Cummins and have two electrical questions:
1.My Magnum energy control panel (above the passenger seat) remains LED lit and operating even with the battery disconnect switch (also above the passenger seat) in the "store" position. Does your Magnum operate in a similar manner?
2. Does the roof solar panel continue to charge the chassis batteries with the chassis disconnect switch (located in the engine compartment) in the "off" position?
Thanks!

Yes to the small 12" sq solar panel is only for chassis battery and with the battery cut off switch for chassis battery it will still charge, the battery cut off for house batteries has to be on so your BIRD SYSTEM can charge the house batteries & chassis battery.
If you leave you coach plugged in at home the BIRD System will keep all your batteries fully charged both coach and house.
Look in the Quick Tips and Mod links 1 & 2 plus the new #3 lot of your answers are there.
MAGNUM INFORMATION is in QT's #3.

Thanks for reply

Regretfully I store my unit for upwards to two months at a time where there is no shore power. I would like to keep as many systems shut down as possible to keep the necessity of firing up the generator to once a month. I would like to shut down the LED inverter coach battery monitoring panel drain by turning the panel off and continue to have the solar panel charge the chassis batteries w/o the coach battery disconnect in the "use" position. Your response would indicate that neither may be possible. I have one year old Interstate batteries-two chassis and four coach batteries.

The two chassis, engine and Gen start batteries off a larger solar panel should help keep them charged to start the Gen, than switch on battery disconnect for house batteries so Gen will charge the house batteries.
Wire the panel direct to two chassis batteries with its controller.
The BIRD System is still involved while Gen charging the house batteries.

Free Sun Power ---more Solar
