My 2002 Dutch Star had a gas furnace that provided heat thru registers in the floor. My new Moutian Air has Hydronic zone system. How do you set temp and were does the heat come from?

Hi Tom,
Your thermostat over the driver seat. Set to furnace and set temp. Also turn on the oasis diesel burner and warm air should come from the large grill in the bedroom near the closet,the bathroom vanity and the kitchen base. There is a another in the front console under drawers that has it's own switch on the dash.

Thanks for the reply. So do you get forced hot air? or is it convection heat from a radiator?

There are fans behind the heat element. More heat called for faster the fans.
Congrats on new coach.

Tom,
I would call it a boiler-air handler. The air is forced through the coil that is heated to about 190 degrees by warm fluid instead of super heated air from a propane furnace. I had a 2003 DS with the furnace under the fridge and everytime that furnace lit up, I woke up.

The new Oasis System is very quiet and very comfortable.

When we picked up the coach we did not have a lot of time to spend with the tech on all of the systems. I learn more when I figure them out for myself. Anywys,are there control valves for each of the radiators? My wife can feel the heat in the kitchen cabnets when the Oasis is running.

Hi Tom,
I far as I know there are no controls for the zone of heat while not in furnace mode. You should not be getting any heat from these coils unless you are in furnace mode. We have not had to use the furnace in our coach yet but I have not noticed any heat while using the Oasis for hot water.

MA4529, do you have an Oasis system? If so do you have warm spots in the floor? Check the purge pump switch. On the front wall of the Oasis cabinet there is a metal box that has several lights, only the power light should be lit, on top of this box is a black rocker switch turn it off and your heat problem should go away. The thermostate in your over head cabinet, when set to furnace will control the flow as needed.

Yes I have the Oasis system. Yes the floor the floor does have warm spots. I will check the postion of Oasis switches. Thanks for the reply.

When I turn the rocker switch off it also turns off the hot water. When I hit the AC switch on the Oasis remote panel it will not light. I also noticed that there are summer and winter settings how do you change these settings?

Hi tom,
My oasis AC switch has 2 settings and the light only comes on when the water is being heated. If the water is hot already the light will not come on. I haven't checked on the summer winter thing yet, but I will.

Tom, The rocker switch on top of the control panel in the electrical compartment should only turn off the purge pump. In the control panel over the driver seat has a burner switch when in the on position has a red light. There is also a 3 position rocker switch that turns on the electrical element 1 element or 2. I usually leave on 1 element to have small amounts of hot water but turn on the burner for showers. You have to waste a fair amount of water to get hot water.The water in the coils is warm but not hot. Once this water is run through the system the water will get hot. I will have to reread the manuel on summer/winter setting. I recall reading about it but not what to do. The mfg is very responsive to questions.
