Tom,
I would call it a boiler-air handler. The air is forced through the coil that is heated to about 190 degrees by warm fluid instead of super heated air from a propane furnace. I had a 2003 DS with the furnace under the fridge and everytime that furnace lit up, I woke up.
The new Oasis System is very quiet and very comfortable.
