1/2 bath heat switch

What does the heat switch control in the half bath? I cant find that it does anything. Probably a simple answer.

When you are running your furnace and the zone heating is on that switch turns on the fan for the 1/2 bath heater. Only works when zone is calling for heat

OK that answers that That will probably be needed in the winter more than this time of year.
