#120599 Step Cover Actuator

So thinking about replacing the step cover actuator as ours labors a bit about half way thru cycle or is this kinda normal...Do not want to have it quit all the way down some day..

It's 11 years old, it may be getting tired. Have you tried extending it while outside the front door and then lubing the mechanisms?

Do that every year and just did that but never on the shaft as I was not sure about that .Thanks
