13.5 penguin AC turns off right away

I've been having problems with one of the Dometic 13.5 penguin HP/ACs on my RV. Two others are working fine so I've not rushed to pay someone to fix this, hoping it's a capacitor I can replace myself. Problem occurs the same at multiple RV parks.
The AC will run only for about 20 seconds then turns itself off. Testing the HP mode, unit switches itself to furnace mode immediately. I cleaned the coils just recently.
Model #: 651816C851J0
Product #: 991762763
Thanks in advance for any advice
Mike

Does it keep running in HP mode ?

In the " Files " drop box ; in the blue bar just to the right of your " User CP " you can go to the heating and air conditioning section and download the ; Duo Therm CCC ; pdf that has a diagnostic flow chart to help you track your problem down.

JMHO; If the unit works on HP but not on A/C it may well be a problem with the reversing solenoid ; an inexpensive , easily replaceable part , testing info is in the file .

Not so easy on a RV A/C. There are no service valves installed for R and R of gas. Saddle tap valves don't play nice with moving equipment. The trick is finding someone to even work on it.

The reversing solenoid replacement doesn't require any removal of the system R134A.
