Ď14 DS ENGINE FAN BELT PART #ís

Just picked up our Ď14 DS yesterday. Need part # for the radiator fan drive belt. The belt is in rough shape and starting to shred so canít read the part # on it.

If there is a part number list for common maintenance items would also be helpful.
Thanks, GrAndy

I would replace the serpentine belt tensioners on engine and belt and tensioner on cooling fan drive. I would Lao make sure the cooling fan gear box oil has been changed.

Thanks, I picked up a fan drive belt today. It was an easy install and now I don’t have to worry about it failing while on the road. Has 36k miles on it and was starting to shred on the edge.

Just to let you know. You were right on with the fan gearbox. Before I could get the rv home , I noticed a noise coming from the fan area. Upon inspection, found oil leaking from the gear box on the fan side. I filled the gear with oil and made it through the next two days of travel back home. Looks like now Iíll have more to do than just change the oil in the fan drive. Fan also has a crack in one blade. $$$$
Thanks

The fan drive gearbox oil is leaking from the short 2" vent on the top. It leaks out and runs down the side of the gearbox and then is blown back over the box and engine.

I posted a few years ago about how to extend the vent tube with a rubber hose. Freightliner will tell you that the gearbox seal is leaking, but it's not, it's the vent tube. When it leaks, it runs down over the seal and looks like a seal leak.

Add the vent tune extension and get the fan blade replaced. My 2019 DS came new with a cracked fan blade.
