1994 Kountry Aire slide out rollers

The orange roller covers to the living room slide out of our 1994 Kountry Aire have shed themselves. Does anyone know the replacement rollers for this model? I called Newmar, and they said I would have to look and measure them. I would rather not go through the process of lifting the slide twice, so I'm asking here.

Also, is it possible to just lift the slide from inside and slip some boards underneath? My wife and I gave it a quick trial, but it didn't budge. Would it be better to put jacks under the slide from the outside instead? I've read the slideout documentation from Newmar, and that is what they suggest.

Our slide doesn't drop down level, so I don't know if some of the other suggestions I've read here would be applicable.

Finally, the slide seems to operate just fine the way it is. Is it even necessary to change the rollers, or can I just leave them be.

Thanks.

-Joel

On my slide that does not drop down I can easily look under slide and see and measure the rollers.
I have changed rollers on both type slides. Both were easy to do by putting a 2x6 on top of slide on the outside and running the slide in carefully until the slide lift inside enough to change the rollers. Roller removed did not require removal of any screws, center pin is spring loaded and after pushing pin in roller comes right out. I used vise grips on one end of the pin after pushing pin in enough to get a grip with vise grips.

Dave has the correct way of lifting the slide which is explained in the slide spec for old slides in QT's 1 & 2.
If the rollers are tracking right and bearings work OK I would continue using them.

I've seen the suggestion for the 2 x6 on the roof, but didn't know if applied to my slide. Thanks for the info.

I never thought of going outside to look for the rollers. We won't be using the RV for another 6-8 weeks, but I should be able to get there again the next couple of weeks to take a look.

Thanks.
