1999 Dutch Star air bag replacement how to videos (also 1998 2000 2001 ?)

I posted in another random thread, but thought this might be better to make a new one.

Fronts:

Rears:

REAR AIR BAGS: Firestone W01-358-9966

FRONT AIR BAGS: Firestone W01-358-8760

You should call Spartan to verify part numbers work for your rig!
Spartan Motors: (517) 543-6400 8a-5p EST

Jack Stands: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002H335A

For me being a professional photographer, these are really poorly filmed.

Did you not use the 10 inch metal plates under each rear air spring? Your old air springs had metal bases. The new ones now have plastic bases and require the metal plates under them. I've read on here that someone had theirs replaced without them and the base shattered. Spartan picked up the bill for all the repairs because they didn't even know at the time they installed them that the plates needed to be used. I'd hate to see someone have an accident over something so small. Great videos BTW....

It's been too long to remember such a thing; however, when the airbags were out, I did a comparison before putting the new ones in. I am skeptical of ordering "identical" parts online, especially for an old motorhome, and confirmed visually they were the same before installing. Did you see somewhere in the video that was an indicator the new air bags have the plastic base? I can double check next time I'm at my rig. But so far 1000+ miles no problems.

Additionally, if you look at the product link, both top and bottom appear to be metal. What should I look for?

Based on the Q&A on that page, it sounds like they may have went back to a metal base around 2016. I will check next time I'm at my rig if it's metal or nylon composite. Thank you!!!
