2000 newmar mountain aire windshield popping out

We have a 2000 Newmar mountain aire 4080 that the windshield keeps popping or coming out in the corner. I've taken it to a glass repair shop and into a body shop and neither repaired it correctly. I seen a post about his issue but can't remember where I read about it. Please Help

Reach out to newmar directly. You may need to add some bracing to the top cap to eliminate flexing. They provide all necessary information for your RV.

Had the same problem in my Canyon Star. Top right corner had a gap about 1.2" out of the rubber gasket/ that holds it in. Glass guy said it's caused by the auto levelers. Auto leveling pushes one side real high, then brings it down a little and raises the other side way too high. Twists the upper part of the coach way out of wack. I now manual level to get close then switch to auto.

very common... and once it does it once... it will usually do it again... might as well call Newmar order a new gasket and a new locking strip... have both sides removed... clean the opening reseal the gasket to the opening and seal the glass to the gasket... use a new locking strip... and manually operate your jacks... do the rear first... then do the front, I use 2x10 wood pads under each jack so that i extend the jacks as little as i can... after dealing with this 2x I do the above and so far so good... as these coaches get older they 100% have more flex than they once did... jmho

I had the same with my left corner. For a couple years I was able to push it back into the gasket. But when it didn't stop popping I hired a glass company that my RV service center recommended and they said the gasket wasn't the problem. He had me use the levelers to put it in a lean to the right-side where that window moved back into place, then he did his magic resealing into the gasket. Never had a problem with it since. 2000 Newmar Dutchstar.

I have had my coach for 3+ yrs and have had the windshield pop out or crack 10 times. Its now in the NIRVC shop in ATL to be fixed. At the INT rally talked to both Newmar and NIRVC about the issue. Convinced NIRVC could do a better job, and sooner. They also work with Insurance company to see if coverage will cover somehow.

Also went to NIRVC because 1st appt at Newmar wasn't until Dec., after that it was July 2023.
