2001 dutchstar wall lights

I'm baffled. Do these glass cones come off the fixture? My wife wants to wash them and I want to upgrade the bulb to an led but I can't get neither off. Is there a trick to these lights? I've enclosed a link to the exact light I have on our wall.

Thanks.

Wow, interesting. I undid my stem and the thread stays in the stem. Thanks though, it definitely helps.

I wouldnít use a hammer on it but you are probably the first to take it apart since it left the factory. Think rust, dirt or over tightened.

I've unscrewed mine but they won't come apart so I just plugged in an LED light and let go at that, no washing!
