Anyone know the max tow capacity for a 2001 MADP?

Our '02 DSDP/Spartan hitch sticker showed 6,000#'s.
I think our '00 DSDP/Freightliner was 5,000#'s but I don't really remember now. Too long ago!

It is the lesser of:
the gcwr-gvwr (combined weight less the motorhome weight)
or
the maximum hitch capacity.
FWIW, my coach has a 10,000# difference, but only a class III hitch, so I am limited to 5,000. The hitch could be legally changed, but 2.5 tons is enough for me.

Hello Techwriter, I asked and went through the same question with our MA , ours is a 2000, here is a thread I started and it will take you from start to finish of my quest of upgrading the hitch so I could pull our enclosed trailer.
