The "low battery voltage fault" said you had low 12v at some point. Resetting it, allowed the board to work.

The "low temp cutoff status" is a weird name for what it indicates. From the manual, the light will be green when it is able to provide heat for heating water AND for interior heat. It will be off, when hot water is being used continuously and the unit is unable to also provide interior heating. The unit will give priority to hot water over interior heat.

The burner will turn off and on by itself to keep the boiler fluid up to temp.

Thanks so much for all your help. Do you think there is any concern over the two yellow and one red wires that look like they have been cut?
