My steps periodically don't want to come out or wont come in, could i have a loose wire? When i open the door they won’t come out, is it me? New to a class A, always had travel trailers.

Do you happen to know the brand of steps ? Kwikee ?

I'm posting troubleshooting guides on Kwikee because they are the ones used on my 99 Dutch Star . System ground would be a possible cause of erratic operation .
Along with a picture of where to look under the steps , for info on the brand of steps .

I had the same problem about 10 years ago, I read on this forum a trick. I unplugged the steps and slightly twisted the male ends on the electrical connection. Not a problem since.

This is great info, what I used to diagnose mine. Power, ground, magnetic switch, controller.
