2004 Dutch Star
Tell me about a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 4009 model? The good and the bad. I think we found one we like?

Loved loved our 2002 3952 Dutch Star,, if it’s clean, has all pertinent records to your liking,,, and most importantly ,,if the price is right,, you won’t find a better made coach in that price range. We just downsized and I miss her already 😎

We've ordered two DSDP's, a 2000 3865 and an '02 4090. The '02 was the best rig we've ever owned. Made the mistake of trading it in on the present '09 Country Coach. Not that the CC is bad but I've spent $53,000 on engine repairs alone in 5 yrs.

I had a 2004 4010 for 12 years and it was a great coach. Pretty trouble free. Only major issue was the ball joint failure issue on Spartan Chassis. Pretty solid coach. Just make sure it was well maintained.

We had a 2004 Dutch Star, Spartan 370 and were extremely happy with it. Not your model though. We had absolutely no issues with it and we full-timed and traveled constantly in it, including to Alaska. We were in the mountains in the West all the time and had plenty of power for us. If it's a good floorplan for you have it checked out and you're good to go!

We’ve been fulltiming eight years in our 02 DSDP. CAT 330 on a Freightliner. Built as a 4090, but interior mod by a PO. Solid, well put together, very well insulated (both sound and temperature). We’ve had a few repairs, but that’s to be expected in a large machine of this age.
