2004 Newmar Mountain Aire Fresh Water Tank

I am looking at a 2004 Newmar Mountain Aire 3781 and I noticed the fresh water tank is in one of the storage bays and extends right to edge of the storage door and not over the frame as all other RVs I have looked at. I am wondering if this is normal or of the pervious owner may have installed this. Thanks in advance for helping me to figure this out. The RV is too far away not to scrutinize pictures before traveling to examine further.

I have an 04 Mtn Aire DP 4016 (40') and my fresh water tank is in the compartment that has the water bay for sewerage, fresh water and electric cord reel.. On the passenger side, the fresh water tank is right behind a peg board that is recessed in about 4" from the compartment door. On the driver's side, the water tank is about 8" behind the water bay panel and a total of about 12" from that compartment door. It is white in color. In that same bay, I have the gray tank and the black water tank and they are all above one another..
My motorhome is up for sale and is located close to Robert, Louisiana. PM me if you want any more information such as inside, outside photos, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply. The tank I am looking at is white, on the passenger side, and just behind the pass through storage area toward the rear of the RV. Looks a little unusual since it would be very heavy if full. The only picture I could find browsing other similar RVs the tank was more to the center of the RV frame and more horizonal than vertical. I didn't know if the storage bay floor could handle that much weight plus the loss of storage area. I have never owned a Newmar so I am not familiar with them as I am others.

Assuming it's a gas it has an L-shaped tank which goes over the chassis rails and completely fills one compartment on the passenger side in front of the wheels. Like the following picture from Comnet:

I think you answered my question and the diagram was helpful. I will know for sure when/if I take the trip to check it out in person. Just looked a little strange from the brief video. Thanks.

Looking at different Newmar Gas RVs in the 2003 - 2006 age range it appears some have an Allison Transmission and other not. Is this the case? I didn't see this as an option. If not an Allison with the Workhorse Chassis what is the transmission and is it comparable? Thanks.
