2004 Newmar Scottsdale-- WITH A "007" ANSWER

Anyone have a diagram or photo of the bedroom slide out mechanism? After reading a forum about tightening the slide motor bolts (yes all of mine were loose) I found a bracket on the bedroom slide had broken off. The bracket holds a long threaded rod with a series of nuts. the rod was bent and had to be replaced. I was smart enough to mark the bolt locations but didn't take a pic of the rod before I removed. Now I can't figure out how to put it back together. HELP!!

I've looked at the pdf I have on Newmar slides , and can't find a diagram of the adjustable threaded stop rod .

Kind of like it was an after thought to stop the slide mechanism before the slide flange or the RV wall sustained damage .
I don't have a bedroom slide , but I will post photos of the way the rod mounts on my main slide, and the stop plate in the basement , that might be of some help.

Well here's what the stop rod looks like on my large slide.

1. The attachment at the outer end of the slide . The rod mounts on the outside , and the double nuts are the " in " stops, when they hit the bracket in the basement.
2. the rod in relation to the slide drive tube, and the wall of the coach.
3. The rod in the basement ; the nut on the end of the threaded rod is the " out "stop. The bracket is slotted , to allow for up/down movement of the rod during slide movement. Approx the distance between the red arrows.

Just to let everyone know "007" is back from a near death experience with a pack of bees that didn't like me any more.
I will write some place of "My Travels To My Rocky MT High".

I felt its a reminder to check the QT's below in 1 & 2 some times and you will find this answer for the OP's bedroom slide rod problem.

Still in recoup celebrating a two week anniversary today of a slow recovery back to life, life is good they say which for me is a second time.
So my wish to you all is safe travel's and enjoy what ever RV you own, as the days move on I will be here at a suspended state until my full body catches up to me, thank's for the great forum members that have helped on forum as always, LIFE IS GOOD.
