2005 DSDP Back-Up Camera Problem

My back up monitor won't work, but has power as I can see what looks like the top button (power?) is illuminated, but when I hit it, or go into reverse, my screen stays dark. It has it's own fuse I could locate in the main fuse bay under the driver's location, and it is fine supporting it has power. Any ideas what this all about or how to fix?

My new specialty, fixing my problems after I post them.

Removed the screen from the dash, un-plugged both connections as I only have one camera and the other is power, and voila!

Spoke too fast. As soon as I hit D or R the screen goes blank.

I can't help with this problem, but if you have a Voyager system, ASA Electronics was very helpful solving another problem I had with one of their old camera systems.

ASA Electronics

If at first they can't help, ask them to track down one of their "old-timers." In my case it was a woman who had been with the company for many years and remembered the old systems.

ASA and RV Cams both recommended disconnecting the power and supplying power via an alternate 12V source to verify the power source or ground aren't the cause. Did so, and no changes from my original symptoms. Looks like a new monitor which now incorporates the connection box which on my current unit is separate.

Sent the system (screen, camera, and connection box) to RV Cams. Bench testing supported the monitor was bad. They sent a newer model screen (713) which popped right into the old housing. It all works again.
