We have a 2005 Essex and the bedroom TV is a Phillips TV/Monitor/FM radio combo...the radio plays, I can get the menu but cannot get any TV signals, really don't want to have to swap it out love the 2 way mirror look, plus not sure if we'll lose the bedside controls. Does anyone know how to get the TV to work? The overhead TV in front will play, USB and SD cards but with photos only, no music or sound?

I've noticed a lot of the 2005/06 owners replaced the TV if I could figure out how to get sound on the front I'd use it to play my music without having to have the dash radio on. Thanking you guys in advance for any help and or advice on these issues.

I don't know if this will help or not, but I had issues with my Phillips Mirror TV in the bedroom on my '07 Essex. I remember the Phillips required you to have to access the menu and change the input, or like setting, each and every time you turned it on. This 3 or 4 step procedure was difficult to remember.

Additionally, if the main mid-ship TV was set on high definition (1080) the rear TV wound not display any video. If you set it back to 720, the back TV would once again work. This issue was corrected by the Newmar factory service. They changed the wiring totally.

The original Phillips does not have a tuner capable of receiving current Over-The-Air (OTA) signals. The OTA signal statndard was changed after that set was made. You can use a converter but it's hardly worth it.
