2005 Essex - Replacement Dinette Globe Light

While pushing in led bulbs with the wedge base to replace the original 921 bulbs, I managed to break two of the five receptacles in the base of the 12" round globe light over the dinette in my 2005 Essex. I should have used dialectic grease to ease the insertion of the new bulbs and now regret not having done so since the ceramic/plastic wedge receptacles in the base were very fragile and I was having to push hard to get the new bulbs inserted. . just too anxious to get the job done. I will probably need to replace the light fixture and base, but it has been discontinued and is no longer available from Newmar. Making matters worse, Newmar does not have a suitable replacement. I have been searching the web for something similar but with little success. Would be grateful for any ideas or recommendations . . thanks to all.

Could the broken bases be removed, and new ones glued/wired back in.

That may be the answer and a far less expensive alternative if it can be done. Will have to remove the light base to check it out, which I would have to do eventually. The problem may be in finding new ones. Thanks!

Try this place for bases and bulbs.

When I had an ‘06 Essex I could go to the Newmar support website and enter my coach build number with “CS” at the end and it would give a catalog of all the parts specific to my coach. Then with some Googling I was often able to locate the part or fixture from the original manufacturer. I would usually start by Googling the Manufacturer part number (not the Newmar part number).
