I am going to look at the above coach to potentially purchase this weekend, pending inspections etc. Everything that I have read about Spartan vs. FL chassis had me believing that the Spartan's are all side radiator while FL is rear radiator. However, this coach has a rear radiator. I have read that they used some leftover FL chassis on these at the end of 05, but this has a Spartan tag in the middle of the steering wheel.

The coach is about 2 hour drive from me so I have to wait until we go look at it tomorrow to tell for sure but thought I would throw the question out here and see what comes up.

Also, if anyone has any words of wisdom of things to check, feel free to chime in. I have read a lot of them included the helpful hints pages but someone may have something I have not read yet.

I had that exact model for about eleven years. The Spartan chassis was solid. The only issue I had was the deteriorated rubber boots on the ball joints. Nothing else of any consequence to report.

All Kountry Stars are going to have rear radiators. I found that to be a minor inconvenience, but certainly nothing to cause me to pass on it.

Be sure to check for signs of water intrusion into the wet bay from the wheel wells. It will show most obviously on the peg board. Newmars of that era were famous for that.
