2005 Kountry Star Diesel Pusher Headlight Replacement
Can anyone confirm the Headlight assembly used on my 2005 KSDP? Someone here referenced the 2000-2007 Ford Taurus model. Mine have clouded and want to replace.

Your headlight should have a SAE number on it. Once you have that number, Google it and you will have your answer.

There are numbers and letters molded into the lens. Get those numbers and contact Carid at CARiD.com – Auto Parts & Accessories | Car, Truck, SUV, Jeep and they can advise you of the correct replacement number. They sell replacements at very reasonable prices. I just did my '97 Kountry Aire and it was from a 97 F150 Ford truck.

Hi Chuck33,
We have the same year coach. Instead of replacing them try Wipe New. Go to Wipe New® Car Surface Trim & Headlight Restorer | Official Site and check it out. I have the same problem. Wipe New works as advertised. I use it once a year and the headlight stay clear as the day they were made.

2005 KSDP Headlight Assy
Thanks Mike! This confirms my research for my 2005 KSDP headlight replacement. 007, I couldn't find a reference link in QT#3 for the headlight replacement so I added to the photo headlight matches in just for fun. Hope you don't mind. Gary Ive tried a polymer lense cleaner/polish. They're clouding inside the lense, bummer. I've ordered new units w/o lamps, Left and Right, from RockAuto Parts Catalog. (2002 Ford Taurus). $75.00 for both including shipping. Rock Auto Rocks! Thank you all for help

Wow! What a difference. Wish the picture could show the difference. Old light when looking at the lens was a glob of light, glare? The New light, you see all the mirrors and shiny reflectors inside the housing, not just a blob of light in front. I could see new lights didn't have the yellow cast when aligning them on the white garage wall as the one ones did. I changed them one at a time and marked the walls with the old lights for alignment before change out.
They are not hard to change (DiY).....They didn't cost alot....I can see and be seen better.....and they look really good! Makes the coach look NEW, not 10yo! This was well worth the money and effort to do.

If you have a drill and time on your hands, you might want to look at this restoration Kit by 3M. Very good product.

Uhh... most of the replacement lights on the internet are Chinese copies of the real item and are not certified for use on the highways. They even carry the correct DOT codes but are still illegal to use.
Yes, I know the copies are cheaper.

Hmmmm, I was not aware of that but makes sense. You get what you pay for.
But having said that, how would the average person, such as a law enforcement person know they are fake?

For what it is worth, my 2005 Kountry Star gas MH uses the headlight assembly that fit the 2002-2004 Oldsmobile Alero.
I tried polishing the lenses, but the interior was not in good shape anymore. The replacement was very easy. The only decision is whether or not to go with OEM, or aftermarket parts.
The partslink #: GM2502203
