2005 MADP - Spartan MM chassis - How do I silence the check engine shrill scream?

My 2005 MADP 43' on a Spartan Mountain Master chassis occasionally triggers a yellow check engine light. I have had it scanned for codes 3 different time but so far nothing has been stored. It runs just fine and eventually the light goes off. The problem is that sometimes it's on for 15 minutes and the shrill high pitched loud scream that accompanies the light is absolutely ear piercing and maddening. Is there a way to silence the screaming while the light remains on? I know I have to get it cheked - I have done so and continue to do so. I just need a way to silence the scream while I work on finding the intermittent problam. Anyone know the trick to doing that? Is there a button I can push to shut it up when it starts screaming?

On my dash there are two pushbutton switches to the right of the lightbar message center. When I hit either of them, it silences the audible warning.

Best would be to invest in a Silver Leaf or Scan Gauge D to read the codes as they happen then deal with the cause.

I figured it out. There's two buttons under the speedo - mode and set. Hit the set button and the screech goes away. I just ordered a ScanGauge D from Advance Auto - they had a 25% off coupon and free shipping. Ended up being $130 to the door all in. We'll see what it says the issue is.
