I am and have been having problems with severe metal snapping sound in the area of the passenger front side of coach.

Been to Newmar for repairs, originally found broken weld between Chassis and Coach support panel under drivers' seat.

Remedy was to weld an angle bracket to join the two components.

After driving approx 200 miles Newmar to Ohio the condition re-appeared went back to Newmar and could not duplicate.

The condition continues HoweverI cannot create condition to duplicate an demand the problem. It happens mostly at slow speeds when the frame is stressed (as in a tight right turn up a driveway ramp)

Anyone else had this problem or know of solution?

One Tech described the noise as the sound a torsion bar makes when it snaps.

Ed

No it happens mostly when making tight turns as in manuvering around trees etc. in campgrounds or service stations where the rear wheels are on flat surfaces and the front wheels are turned and at a different height creating a twist of the frame

Thanks

Tough call here, it could be a mount for a shock,a bolt under stress holding torsion bar or a bolt on frame snaping when you turn the tight turn. I had a 98 coach windshield pop out when I made a sharp turn out of a gas station an left front wheel went up a slight embankment in the turn. Its kind of hard makeing it happen unless you know someone that can drive your coach up a driveway incline from the street, while you walk beside coach. May have to repeat a few times to catch it but its worth a try.
Welcome to irv2 by the way. When you have a chance post your coach info in your sig-profile and you won't have to post it every time and it will help us to help you. "007"
